Ontario Sledding Season Kicks Off

Ontario’s snow may be a couple of months away yet, but winter was in the air for the thousands of snowmobilers who attended the Toronto International Snowmobile Show last weekend in Toronto, Canada. Judging from the crowded parking lots, all-day line ups to get in, enthusiasm on the show floor, and the huge number of people carting their purchases out the door, snowmobiling is alive and well in Ontario!

Of course, these are riders who have heard the early predictions that the coldest and snowiest winter in several years is on the way, so they are really pumped – and this show only whetted their appetites. The demographic of show attendees ranged from seniors to families and from couples to lots of under 30 riders, but all had one thing in common – a passion for sledding that will only be satisfied when OFSC trails open for the winter of 2012!
